Beagle and Dachshund mix: Appearance, Character and Training

Introduction

Beagle

Beagle is a hound dog breed. The medium-sized, externally similar to the Foxhound but smaller, with shorter legs. This dog is “famous” for its long and soft ears (standard breed ears should reach the tip of the nose).

Beagles are very energetic and hardy dogs. Daily walk is an important condition for maintaining the health of the dog. Jogging with a dog is a great way to support your and its physical form, as well as provide an opportunity to explore Beagle new territory.

These dogs will not sleep or lie on the couch; they are active and curious, not only outside, but also at home. Beagles love to run, walk and even swim. Advantages of this breed is that they do not drool and almost no smell.

Dachshund

Dachshund dog is an amazing breed. It is very active and sometimes like an eternal motor running, so the dog will quickly become loyal and best friend of man. Taxi always become interesting, and it pursues anything that moves – it seems this is the meaning of life. It is quite self-sufficient, can easily make the right decisions, and has a sharp mind. They also have a sensitive charm of infinite devotion to the owner and excellent character.

In addition, like beagles this type of dos has excellent hunting traits. He was inherited remarkable ability to chase prey with a voice, a great flair and intelligence. It is primarily a hunting dog, perfectly designed to work in a hole that would catch beaver, otter, badger, etc.

Doxle

Doxle is the name of mix between Dachshund and beagle. At the first glance, doxles look like dachshund in size, with a long body and short legs, but may vary in colors from white to black. Its coat is fine, harsh and rough.

Its weight is around 17 pounds; height can be almost 10 inches. The lifespan of the pet may be up to 14 years under appropriate care and maintenance. The average price of the puppy may be around $500.

In addition, doxles can be favourite pets for owners for its easy training. They inherited from dachshund the sharp mind that allows trainings to be enjoyable. Its shedding is average so it will not be too hard to care about the dog.

Importantly! Doxle has alert and playful temperament. It can be good dogs for big families with children.
